Para você duplicar uma layer no photoshop é somente usar o seguinte comando : ctrl+j. E para juntar tudo em uma só layer só da ctrl+shift+e .

Creio que está tentando fazer uma cópia de seu trabalho sem perder o que fez até agora, é simples, basta criar uma nova layer e apertar CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + E que irá fazer uma "preview" do seu resultado que obteve. Desta forma, você meio que duplica sua Sign em uma layer só e não perde a PSD.
