Olá amigo,você está fazendo errado,faça assim:
Inves de clicar preencher demarcador,você cria a seleção,apos criar a seleção você deve preenche-lá,desta maneira aperte ALT+DELETE para preencher a camada selecionada.Lembrando você deve utilizar apenas 1 camada por seleção.
